Short biography
Matt Ansbro is a Texas-based author of the Wild Roads trilogy and the standalone novel Silence Is Closer, published under his independent ADVNTR Press imprint. Originally from Philadelphia, he writes literary road fiction and coastal noir shaped by Colorado and the Pacific Northwest.
Long biography
Matt Ansbro is an author, independent builder, and service operations leader based in Texas, originally from Philadelphia. He has been married for more than twenty years, raised four grown children, and shares the house with three Australian Shepherds.
He writes literary road fiction and quiet coastal noir — character-driven novels about grief, loyalty, recovery, friendship, and the slow work of becoming steadier. His Wild Roads trilogy (The Unfinished Map, The Bare Horizon, and the upcoming The Longest Road Home) follows three friends west out of Durango, Colorado; his standalone novel Silence Is Closer is set on the coast of Port Townsend, Washington. All of his fiction is published independently under his ADVNTR Press imprint.
Alongside the writing, Matt builds independent tools and publishing systems — including ADVNTR Road, a boutique road trip and national park guide publication — and has spent two decades in service operations, from telecom and enterprise engineering to eight years at Apple to leading service delivery for a Texas managed services company today.
