Matt Ansbro

Author. Builder. Operator. I write literary fiction, build AI-powered tools, and run service operations for a Texas-based IT company — usually all in the same week.

About

About Matt

A life built around roads, stories, systems, and staying curious.

I'm a writer, builder, and service operator living in Texas, originally from Philadelphia. Colorado, the Pacific Northwest, family, dogs, music, and long roads shape much of what I write and build. Most of my work begins with the same instinct: take something complicated, give it shape, and make it useful without sanding off what made it human.

More about Matt

The roads that shape us

The roads we choose matter. The roads we don't choose often change us even more.

Some journeys happen on highways. Some happen through careers, families, failures, reinvention, and the quiet realization that the person who began the journey is not the person who arrived.

Everything I write, build, and lead begins somewhere in that space — between the unexpected turn and the understanding that follows.

Who are you becoming?

The story behind the roads

A snow-lined mountain road stretching toward a high alpine pass.

Standalone Novel

Silence Is Closer

A quiet coastal noir about refusal, pressure, and what it costs to remain.

When lawyers offer Caleb Wright fifty thousand dollars for recordings he made with his dead mentor, he has one answer: no.

The recordings exist. The offer is real. Caleb understands what signing means — and he refuses.
